Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to join the Turnagain Arm Scenic Tour?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but I’d say it’s best for kids 5 and up since they might appreciate the wildlife and views more. They do have booster seats available if you need them. Just make sure to check with the provider in advance if you have a very young child!

Q: What should I wear for the tour? Will it be cold in winter?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get pretty chilly, especially up on the Alyeska tram and around the wildlife center. I'd recommend a good winter coat, gloves, and a hat. Also, wear sturdy shoes since you might walk on some uneven surfaces.

Q: Are there any restrictions on rescheduling if something comes up?

A: Yes! They have a pretty flexible rescheduling policy. As long as you give them at least 24 hours notice, you can move your tour date without a fee. Just be sure to call them directly to sort it out!

Thinking about the Turnagain Arm Winter Scenic Tour as a gift! Anyone been?

I'm looking to give this tour as a gift to my parents. They love nature and wildlife, and I think this would be perfect for them. The tour includes the Alyeska aerial tram, which I've heard offers crazy views! Just wondering how the experience is in winter, especially since it's a local guide service. Any feedback would help!

Anyone else feel the views from the tram are worth it?

I recently did the Turnagain Arm Winter Scenic Tour and let me tell you, the views from the Alyeska tram are absolutely breathtaking! We saw a ton of wildlife, and the Wildlife Conservation Center was awesome. I’m considering gifting this experience to my sister. Is it worth it?
