A beginners private introduction to dancing Two-Step at the location of your choice before an optional night out in an Austin Honky-Tonk. This is a customizable service, for singles, couples, groups, bachelorette parties, etc. The smaller the size the more attention I can give to each person. I've been an avid two-stepper since 2017. I was taught by a phenomenal teacher and pass on the wisdom he gave me. This includes the basic footwork, spins and dips. I go beyond that to teach dance etiquette, frame and what makes a good lead or follow. These are tips the large group lessons do not have time to educate on. An hour with me and you will be good to hit the Austin Honky-Tonk scene. I am open to teaching a private lesson before taking you to an authentic honky-tonk. There are options and we can discuss where exactly you prefer. Bonus info: I am actually originally from Great Britain, so you will be learning Texas Two-Step from an English Gentleman.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Two Step dance lesson in Austin?

A: No specific age limit! The dance lessons are designed for everyone, from teens to seniors. Just make sure the person you're gifting this to is comfortable with the physical activity involved. The instructor is great at adapting to different skill levels and ages, so it should be fun no matter who you bring along!

Q: How do you handle rescheduling if plans change?

A: Rescheduling is pretty flexible! Just reach out to the instructor, and they'll help you find a new time. They understand things come up, especially with group events like bachelorette parties. Just give a heads-up as soon as you can, and they’ll work with you to adapt. Super accommodating!

Q: What should we wear for the Two Step lesson and night out?

A: Comfortable shoes are a must! You’ll be moving around a lot. Jeans and a nice top work great, but don't go too fancy since you’ll be hitting a honky-tonk afterward. The instructor emphasizes being comfortable while dancing, so whatever you wear, just make sure it allows you to move! Also, check the weather, since you might want a jacket if it’s chilly at night.

Considering a Two Step dance lesson in Austin for my friend's birthday!

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about gifting a Two Step dance lesson followed by a night out in Austin for my friend's birthday next month. She loves country music but has never danced. The idea of a private lesson sounds awesome since she'll get personal attention. Has anyone done this? What’s the vibe like at the honky-tonk, and is it worth it?

Did the Two Step lesson! Here’s my experience!

Just finished the Two Step dance lesson in Austin and wow, it was so much fun! The instructor was chill and gave us great tips. We practiced basic steps for an hour, and I felt ready to hit the honky-tonk right after. We went to this really cool place downtown, had a blast dancing with strangers! Highly recommend it for a fun night out.
