Come take a ghostly historic tour of the southern tip of Tybee Island! Starting at the historic Carbo House, you’ll be greeted by your knowledgeable local ghost host for check-in. You will then be escorted around the South Beach area which is considered the down-front district of the island, it is loaded with shops, restaurants, bars, attractions - and ghosts! We will have a restroom and cocktail break at a family friendly restaurant which has a haunted background and a lot of history. Please be advised if you would like to wander the sandy beaches to look for shades and shadows, pets are not allowed on the beach “unless it is a service animal”. If you do bring baby strollers please be aware that there might be limitations for them on the actual beach, which we can try to improvise if needed.

Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age for kids to join the Tybee Island Ghost Tour?

A: There isn't a strict age limit for the Tybee Island Ghost Tour, but it's recommended for kids 10 and up. The storytelling includes some spooky tales, so younger kids might get scared. Plus, it's a lot more enjoyable for them if they can appreciate the ghostly history. You could always check with the tour guide if you're unsure!

Q: What should we wear for the ghost tour? Is it outdoors?

A: Definitely dress for the outdoors since the tour is mostly walking around the South Beach area! I’d recommend wearing comfy shoes, as there’s a bit of strolling involved. Depending on the time of year, it can get a bit chilly at night, so layering is a smart move. And don’t forget a light jacket if it’s winter!

Q: How's the parking situation for the Tybee Island Ghost Tour?

A: Parking can be a bit tricky, especially during tourist season. There’s some street parking near the Carbo House, but it fills up fast. I’d suggest getting there early or considering a rideshare if you can. The tour guides are really helpful with tips on where to park, so just ask when you check in!

Thinking about gifting the Tybee Island Ghost Tour for my sister’s birthday!

Hey everyone! I’m thinking about getting tickets for the Tybee Island Ghost Tour for my sister who's into spooky stuff. I've heard the Carbo House is a cool spot to start, and the thermal imaging camera sounds awesome! Would it be a good fit for her and maybe me too? Or is it just for hardcore ghost lovers? Thanks!

Just did the Tybee Island Ghost Tour - Here’s my experience!

I just got back from the Tybee Island Ghost Tour and wow, it was a blast! Starting at the Carbo House made it feel really special. The stories were creepy but not over the top. The cocktail break was a nice touch too! I’d totally recommend it for anyone who loves a good ghost story or just wants a unique night out.
