Explore miles of trails with gorgeous 1,000 ft. elevation views of Mauna Kea above and the Pacific Ocean below. Do you love mud? You'll like some fun riding after a fresh rain. All levels of experience are welcome. Tour includes practice track with instruction from guides, plus scenic stops for photos, and a dip in Umauma's private waterfall and pond.

Q: What should I wear for the ATV ride, especially since we might go through mud?

A: Definitely wear something you don’t mind getting dirty! I'd recommend quick-dry clothes and hiking shoes or old sneakers. They’ll get muddy for sure, and you'll want to wear a swimsuit if you plan to swim at the waterfall afterwards. Don’t forget a towel for the swim at Unauma Falls!

Q: Are there any age restrictions for kids on the ATVs?

A: Kids can join in on the fun, but they need to be at least 8 years old to ride as a passenger on the ATVs and 16 to drive a single ATV. Just make sure they’re comfortable and can follow instructions!

Q: How's the parking situation at the Umauma Experience? Is it easy to get there?

A: Parking is pretty straightforward—you'll find a large lot right at the facility. Just arrive a little early to grab a good spot and check in. The drive to Umauma Falls is beautiful, so take your time and enjoy it!

Just did the Umauma Falls ATV experience and it was AWESOME!

We went last week and honestly, it was the highlight of our trip. Riding through the ranch land was such a thrill, and the views of Mauna Kea were breathtaking. Swimming in that waterfall was the cherry on top! Highly recommend this for anyone visiting the Big Island.
