Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit, but younger kids might find the walking tours long. It’s recommended for ages 8 and up. They might enjoy the Arlington Cemetery walk, especially the Changing of the Guards, but you’ll need to keep an eye on them during the bus portion as it can get crowded.
A: The tour usually goes on rain or shine, so be prepared for the weather! Bring an umbrella and wear comfortable shoes. Most of the bus and certain covered areas will keep you dry, but some walking segments might be outdoors.
A: Parking can be tricky in DC. Aim to arrive at least 30-45 minutes early to find a spot and walk to the meeting point. There are parking garages nearby, but they fill up fast. Consider using public transport if possible!

Just did the Capitol and Cemetery tour - amazing experience!
I took my parents on the US Capitol Entry plus City Bus Tour & Arlington Cemetery Walk last weekend, and it was fantastic! The Capitol Hill walk was so informative, and our guide really knew his stuff. Seeing the Changing of the Guards at Arlington gave us goosebumps! We spent a good chunk of the day, but every moment was worth it. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a unique gift for someone who loves history!
Thinking about gifting this tour - feedback needed!
I'm considering gifting the US Capitol & Arlington Cemetery tour to my partner for our anniversary. We're both history buffs. Does anyone know if the walk through Arlington is strenuous? We want it to be fun, not exhausting!
