Q&A
A: You definitely want to wear something you don’t mind getting wet! The ponchos they give you on the Maid of the Mist help, but you’ll still feel the mist. I wore sandals and a quick-dry shirt, which worked perfectly. Just make sure you have a secure grip on your shoes since it can get slippery on the Cave of the Winds deck!
A: There’s no official age limit, but kids should be at least 5 years old to enjoy the experience safely. Just keep in mind that it can be pretty loud and there's a lot of splashing, so younger kids might get scared. If you have a child who loves adventure, they’ll likely have a blast!
A: Yes, the tour can be rescheduled if the weather is unsafe—for example, high winds or heavy rain. Just be sure to contact the provider directly. They’re usually pretty accommodating, but it's best to do this ASAP if you need to change your plans.

Thinking about gifting the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds combo!
Hey everyone! I'm considering this combo tour for my parents' anniversary. They've never been to Niagara Falls, and I think the Maid of the Mist ride would blow them away! I just want to know if the Cave of the Winds part is worth it. Does anyone have any tips or experiences with this combo? They’re in their late 50s, but pretty adventurous!
Just did the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds—AMAZING!
Wow, what an experience! The Maid of the Mist was thrilling, especially when you get super close to the falls. And then the Cave of the Winds? Absolutely breathtaking! I recommend going early in the day to avoid crowds. We wore the ponchos and still ended up soaked, but it was so much fun! Definitely the highlight of our trip to Niagara Falls!
