Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to do this tour? Is there a lot of hiking involved?

A: The best time really depends on your hiking comfort level! If you prefer milder weather, I’d recommend going in the spring or fall. In winter, the Fire Wave hike is stunning, but it can get a bit chilly. Summer is super hot, but Rainbow Vista has gorgeous views. The hikes vary in difficulty but are generally manageable for most folks. Just stay hydrated and wear good shoes!

Q: Are there age restrictions for this tour? My kids are 10 and 12.

A: There aren’t any strict age restrictions, but keep in mind that some trails can be a bit challenging for younger kids. The tour is family-friendly, and plenty of families do it with kids around that age. Just make sure they can handle some walking and have a good pair of shoes. Everyone in our group had a blast!

Q: Does the tour get canceled due to weather? What if it rains?

A: Yes, tours can be canceled due to severe weather—safety is a priority. If rain or storms are forecasted, they typically notify you the day before. If canceled, you should be able to reschedule or get a refund. Just keep an eye on the weather as your tour date approaches!

Thinking about gifting the Valley of Fire tour for my parents!

Hey everyone! I’m considering getting the Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam tour for my parents’ anniversary. They love the outdoors but aren’t super into strenuous hikes. I see there’s a boxed lunch included, which is nice! Any thoughts on how accommodating the tour guides are with older folks? I want them to enjoy it but also not feel overwhelmed.

Just got back from the Valley of Fire tour—amazing!

Wow, I just did the Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam tour last week, and I have to say, it was incredible! The colors in the park are out of this world, especially at the Fire Wave. The hike was totally doable, even in the heat! The stop at Hoover Dam was cool for pics. Highly recommend if you're visiting Vegas, 5 stars!
