Q&A
A: The best time to go is from December to April when the humpback whales are present in the Maui Nui sanctuary. During this season, you’re almost guaranteed to see whales. I went in March and saw so many, it was unforgettable!
A: Yes, kids are welcome on the tour! There’s no strict age limit, but it’s recommended for children who are 5 and up. It’s a great educational experience for them, and they’ll have a blast seeing the whales!
A: Dress in layers since it can get chilly on the water, especially in the early morning or late afternoon. A light jacket or windbreaker is a good idea! Also, don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses!

Just booked the VIP whale watch tour in Maui – any tips?
I just snagged 6 spots for the VIP Ultimate Whale Watch in Maui for February! I'm pumped since they limit it to 12 guests. I hope we get to see some whales up close! Any tips for the boat ride or best viewing spots? This'll be our first time!
Just did the VIP whale watch – WOW!
I went on the VIP Ultimate Whale Watch last week, and it was incredible! We saw so many humpback whales and even a few dolphins. The crew was super knowledgeable too, which made it a fun learning experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Maui!
