Our Exclusive VIP whale watching tours are 2 hours long with a maximum of 12 guests. Our small groups make every seat a front row seat as you enjoy whale watching and educational talks from our marine naturalist onboard. Our inflatable rafting vessels are safe, travel quickly to find whales and a fun ride for the whole family. See Humpback Whales that have traveled 3000 miles from Alaska to give birth and mate in the protected Maui Nui sanctuary off Lahaina where the waters are known for being warm and calm. On our whale watches we could travel anywhere from 2 to 10 miles from Lahaina, often encountering dolphins in addition to humpback whales. Guarantee whale sightings Dec-April, or go again for FREE! We are locally owned and operated since 1982 and every ticket supports our participation in marine research projects and our role as certified first responders to whale entanglements. We are unable to take guests who are Pregnant.

Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to go for the whale watching tour?

A: The best time to go is from December to April when the humpback whales are present in the Maui Nui sanctuary. During this season, you’re almost guaranteed to see whales. I went in March and saw so many, it was unforgettable!

Q: Are kids allowed on this tour? What's the age limit?

A: Yes, kids are welcome on the tour! There’s no strict age limit, but it’s recommended for children who are 5 and up. It’s a great educational experience for them, and they’ll have a blast seeing the whales!

Q: What should I wear for the whale watching tour?

A: Dress in layers since it can get chilly on the water, especially in the early morning or late afternoon. A light jacket or windbreaker is a good idea! Also, don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses!

Just booked the VIP whale watch tour in Maui – any tips?

I just snagged 6 spots for the VIP Ultimate Whale Watch in Maui for February! I'm pumped since they limit it to 12 guests. I hope we get to see some whales up close! Any tips for the boat ride or best viewing spots? This'll be our first time!

Just did the VIP whale watch – WOW!

I went on the VIP Ultimate Whale Watch last week, and it was incredible! We saw so many humpback whales and even a few dolphins. The crew was super knowledgeable too, which made it a fun learning experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Maui!
