Q&A

Q: Are there any age or height restrictions for the floating obstacle course?

A: Great question! Kids aged 5 and up can use the floating obstacle course, but they need to be at least 48 inches tall to go on the big slide. Make sure to supervise younger children, especially if they’re not strong swimmers. It’s a blast for all ages!

Q: Can you rent paddleboards at the lagoon, and how much do they cost?

A: Yes, paddleboards and kayaks are available for rent at the lagoon! Prices usually range from $20 to $30 per hour depending on which one you choose. It’s super fun to paddle around the lagoon, just be sure to check their availability since it can get busy, especially on weekends.

Q: What if the weather changes? Do they cancel the lagoon experience?

A: If the weather isn’t safe, they’ll likely cancel the experience, but they’ll typically notify you ahead of time. You can also reschedule for another day without any hassle, which is really nice. Just keep an eye on the weather forecast, especially during hurricane season.

Thinking about the Wai Kai Lagoon Explorer for my family trip!

I’m planning a trip to Oahu next month and I’m really considering the Wai Kai Lagoon Explorer as a fun family day. My kids are 6 and 9, and they love water activities. The floating obstacle course looks like a blast! Just wanted to know if it’s worth the price and if it’s easy to get to from Waikiki?

Had an amazing time at the Wai Kai Lagoon Explorer!

I just went to the Wai Kai Lagoon Explorer last week and let me tell you, it was epic! The obstacle course was a huge hit with my teens, and the splash pad was perfect for my younger ones. We spent the whole day there and could do whatever we wanted. Definitely recommend renting a paddleboard too, it’s such a chill way to explore the lagoon!
