Just booked the Whale Watching Experience! What can I expect?

Hey everyone! I just purchased the Waikiki Whale Watch & Cultural Stories cruise for my partner’s birthday. So excited! I’ve heard the crew is super knowledgeable and you’re almost guaranteed to see whales. We’re going in late January, so hoping to spot a ton. Anyone have tips for what to bring or expect?
