Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids to go on this kayak adventure?

A: There's no strict age limit, but the recommended minimum age is around 5 years. Kids need to be able to paddle and follow instructions well. It's super family-friendly, so younger kids just need to be comfortable in the kayak and wearing a life jacket!

Q: What should we wear during the kayak adventure?

A: Light, breathable clothes are best! Swimsuits are a good choice since you might get splashed. Don't forget sunscreen and a hat! Flip-flops or water shoes are perfect as well. It can get hot out there.

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather looks bad?

A: Yes, absolutely! Hilo Ocean Adventures is pretty flexible with rescheduling due to weather. Just reach out to them as soon as you know. They want everyone to have a great time, so they’ll work with you!

Just did the Wailoa River Kayak Adventure with my kids!

Wow, what an awesome experience! We paddled along the Wailoa River and saw the King Kamehameha Statue, which was so cool. The views of the Banyan trees were beautiful. The local juices they provided were refreshing too! My kids had a blast. Planning to gift this to my sister for her family!

Thinking of gifting the kayak adventure experience!

I’m considering this for my parents because they love being outdoors. How was the difficulty level? Were there any steep parts? I want to make sure they’ll be able to handle it comfortably.
