Q&A
A: The Wailua Nui Luau is an amazing experience for all ages! They welcome families, and kids will love the interactive activities like the tatau (tattoo) making. Just keep in mind that the buffet is more tailored for adults, but there are options that kids usually enjoy. It’s definitely a fun cultural experience for everyone!
A: Definitely go for a casual beach vibe! A nice sundress or shorts with a Hawaiian shirt works great. Just remember, it can get a bit windy near the shoreline, so maybe bring a light jacket. Flip flops are perfect for footwear, but avoid heels since it's on grass.
A: They have a backup plan in place! If it rains, they usually move the festivities to a covered area, so you don’t miss out on anything. Just make sure to check the weather and call ahead if you’re very concerned. Most locals say the atmosphere is still magical even with a little drizzle.

Thinking of gifting the Wailua Nui Luau - any thoughts?
So I’m planning to surprise my partner with tickets to the Wailua Nui Luau at the Kauai Hilton Garden Inn. I’ve read amazing things about the imu ceremony and the fire-knife dance. I think it’ll be such a unique experience! Has anyone here been? Any tips or must-sees?
Just got back from the Wailua Nui Luau - wow!
I just got back from the Wailua Nui Luau and honestly, it was AMAZING. The interactive activities before the show were super fun, and the buffet was delicious. I’m still dreaming about that huli huli chicken! Plus, the sunset views were stunning. Totally worth it for anyone considering it!
