Q&A

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather looks bad?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather isn’t great! They’re really flexible about it, just give them a call a day or two before the trip to confirm. They want to make sure you have the best experience possible, so they’ll help you find another date that works for you.

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to go on this cruise?

A: There's no specific age limit! It's family-friendly, but just keep in mind that younger kids might get a little restless. They recommend that kids are at least 6 years old, so they can enjoy the experience better. Also, remember to bring something for them to do if they get bored.

Q: What should I wear on the cruise?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get chilly out on the water, especially in the morning. Bring a light jacket and don’t forget sunscreen. Flip-flops or sandals are fine, but I’d recommend something with a bit more grip for the deck. Also, maybe a hat for sun protection!

Thinking about gifting the Wake up with the Whales Cruise!

Hey everyone! I’m looking to surprise my partner with the Wake up with the Whales Cruise on the Big Island. I love that they have the underwater hydrophone to hear the whale songs. Has anyone done this experience? How was it? Also, what do you think is a good time of year for whale watching in Hawaii?

Just got back from the Wake up with the Whales Cruise!

I just came back from this cruise and wow, it was amazing! Seeing the humpbacks up close was unreal. The naturalist on board gave us so much info, and hearing their songs through the hydrophone gave me chills. Snacks and drinks were included too, which made it a chill day. I highly recommend it!
