Q&A

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the trip?

A: If the weather isn’t good, they’ll usually contact you the day before or the morning of to discuss options. Safety is their priority! You can either reschedule or get a full refund. I had to reschedule once due to rain, and it was super easy.

Q: Are there weight limits for passengers on the helicopter?

A: Yes, there are weight restrictions due to safety regulations. Each passenger must weigh under 300 lbs for a comfortable fit. If you have larger groups, they might split you up into different flights. Just call ahead to check!

Q: What should I wear for the helicopter ride?

A: Dress comfortably but consider the weather in both NYC and D.C.! Layers are a good idea since it can get windy up there. I wore a light jacket and sneakers, which worked perfectly for me. Also, avoid loose clothing that might get caught in the doors.

Thinking about gifting the helicopter trip to my girlfriend - any tips?

Hey everyone! I'm considering getting the Washington D.C. Day Trip by helicopter for my girlfriend's birthday. I think she’ll love it! Just curious about what the experience is like? Is 4-5 hours enough time to really see the sights? What’s the lunch situation like? Any advice is appreciated!

Just did the helicopter trip! Here's my recap!

OMG, I just got back from the day trip to D.C. and it was incredible. The helicopter ride was smooth, and seeing the skyline of NYC fade away was such a nice touch. We had around 4 hours to explore, which was just enough time to see the Lincoln Memorial and grab some lunch. Just a heads up: plan your lunch ahead because the options are a bit spread out. Totally recommend this experience!
