Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Monuments & Memories Walking Tour?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but the experience is generally best suited for older kids (8+) who can walk for a couple of hours and appreciate the history. They’ll cover a lot of ground, so if you’re bringing younger kids, just keep in mind the walking involved. It’s a great way to spark their interest in history, though!

Q: Can I reschedule this tour if something comes up?

A: Yes, you can usually reschedule your tour with at least 48 hours' notice. Just reach out to the provider, The Daily Trips, and they’ll help you find a new date. It's pretty flexible as long as you give them enough heads up!

Q: What should I wear for the walking tour? Is it casual?

A: Definitely go for comfy, casual clothes! You’ll be doing a fair bit of walking, so wear sneakers or good walking shoes. Also, check the weather for the day. A light jacket might be needed if it’s chilly, especially in the evenings.

Just did the Monuments & Memories Tour in D.C. - WOW!

I went on this tour last weekend with my family, and it was amazing! We started at the Washington Monument and ended at the Lincoln Memorial. Our guide was super knowledgeable and made the history come alive. Definitely worth it, especially with the views from the Old Office Pavilion Observation Deck! Just a heads up, bring water and wear good shoes. Planning to gift this to my parents next month.

Thinking of gifting the Monuments & Memories Tour - worth it?

Hey all! I’m considering buying this tour as a gift for my sister who’s visiting D.C. soon. She loves history but has never been to the monuments. Anyone done it? What did you think? Any must-know tips?
