Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age requirement for this tour, or can kids join?

A: There's no strict minimum age for the tour, so kids are welcome! It can be a great educational experience for them. Just keep in mind that some of the walking can be a bit much for little ones, so plan accordingly. Also, if they’re under 12, you might want to consider if they’ll enjoy the history aspect.

Q: What’s the best way to get to the starting point for this tour in NYC?

A: The tour typically departs from a central location in Manhattan. The easiest way to get there is by subway—most major lines will get you close. If you're driving, consider parking in a nearby garage since street parking can be tough. Just be sure to allow extra time for traffic!

Q: What do we wear for this tour? Is it casual or formal?

A: Casual, comfy clothes are best! You'll be doing a fair amount of walking, so wear sneakers and dress for the weather. If it's sunny, don’t forget sunglasses and a hat. Layering is also smart since temperatures can change throughout the day.

Thinking of gifting the DC Monuments Day Tour from NYC—thoughts?

I’m planning to surprise my parents with this Washington DC and Monuments Day Tour from NYC. They’ve always wanted to see the White House and Arlington Cemetery. The tour says it includes a professional guide and all monument entrances for free, which sounds awesome! Just worried about how the walking will be for them since they’re in their 60s. Anyone done this? Would love to hear your thoughts!
