Q&A

Q: Is there a specific age limit for kids on this tour?

A: There isn't a strict age limit for the tour, but it's recommended for ages 5 and up, especially for the Mount Vernon part since it involves some walking and historical content that's better suited for older kids. Just keep in mind the attention span of younger children during the 3-hour city tour!

Q: What happens if it rains on the day of the tour?

A: They usually go ahead with the tour unless it's severe weather, but I'd recommend checking the forecast and calling ahead. Also, dressing in layers and having an umbrella can be a lifesaver, especially since some stops require outdoor walking.

Q: How do I get to Mount Vernon from the main part of the tour?

A: The tour includes transportation to Mount Vernon, so you won’t have to worry about that! Just sit back and enjoy the ride. The afternoon visit is really well organized, and they’ll take care of all the logistics for you.

Just got back from the DC Full Day Tour, and wow!

I took the Washington DC Full Day Tour with Mount Vernon admission last week and it was amazing! The 3-hour city tour took us to all the important sites, like the Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol, and we had plenty of photo stops. Mount Vernon was just beautiful and the history there is something else. Definitely recommend this as a gift for anyone who loves history or is visiting DC!

Thinking about gifting the DC Grand Tour – any advice?

I'm considering buying the Washington DC Full Day Tour for my parents who are visiting next month. They love history, but my mom has some mobility issues. Is the tour manageable for her? Also, how’s the lunch situation? Any tips would be great!
