Q&A
A: There’s no official age limit, and kids usually love scavenger hunts! The challenges are fun and engaging for all ages, so your 10-year-old will likely have a blast. Just keep an eye on them since some of the walking can be a bit much for younger kids, but it’s super family-friendly overall!
A: The challenges range from pretty easy to moderate difficulty, so there’s a nice mix. They’re designed to be fun and get you thinking while you explore. Plus, since you can do it at your own pace, you can always take a moment to figure things out or look up answers if you need to!
A: Definitely wear comfy shoes since you'll be walking quite a bit around the National Mall. Dress in layers because it can get chilly near the museums, especially if you're starting in the morning. And don't forget sunscreen if it's a sunny day—there's not much shade as you stroll around!

Just did the DC Museums scavenger hunt—SO MUCH FUN!
I just finished the self-guided scavenger hunt in DC, and it was a blast! We took about 2.5 hours to complete it and solved over 30 challenges. It took us past all the major museums and even some hidden gems you wouldn’t expect. We did it on a sunny Saturday, and I totally recommend comfy shoes because you'll be walking a lot! Definitely thinking of gifting this to my sister’s family for their upcoming trip to DC.
Thinking about the scavenger hunt as a gift!
I’m considering this scavenger hunt for my boyfriend’s birthday. He loves puzzles and history. It seems like a great way to explore DC together! But I’m worried if it’ll be too easy or boring since he’s pretty savvy. Anyone done this already? What do you think?
