Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this bike tour? Can kids join?

A: There’s no strict age limit for the Waterfront Ride, but it's best suited for kids aged 10 and up since they'll need to handle a bike for a decent distance. We had a 12-year-old in our group who absolutely loved it! Just keep in mind they should be comfortable cycling in a group and on some trails.

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of the tour? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather looks bad, you can definitely reschedule. Buffalo Bike Tours usually contacts you the day before to confirm if the weather's iffy. They’re pretty flexible and want everyone to have a good time!

Q: Do I need to wear anything special for the bike tour?

A: Casual clothes work great! Just make sure to wear comfortable shoes since you’ll be cycling a lot. I wore sneakers and a light jacket, and it was perfect. Also, consider bringing sunglasses and sunscreen if it’s sunny!

Just did the Waterfront Ride in Buffalo!

I went on the Waterfront Ride last weekend, and it was SO COOL! Riding past the grain silos and the fireboat was such a unique experience. The bike paths are mostly smooth, and I loved learning about Buffalo’s history as we rode. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves biking or just wants to see the city in a fun way!

Thinking of gifting the Waterfront Ride!

I’m looking to buy this Waterfront Ride experience for my boyfriend’s birthday. He loves biking and local history, so I think it’ll be perfect! Has anyone done it recently? What’s the best way to prepare for the ride?
