Q&A

Q: Can this tour accommodate kids? What's the age limit?

A: Yes, this tour is great for families! There’s no strict age limit, but younger kids might get tired since it's a walking tour. Just keep in mind that some parts can be busy and you’ll be on your feet a lot. We had our 8-year-old with us and she loved it!

Q: What should I wear for the walking tour? Any weather recommendations?

A: Comfortable shoes are a must! You’ll be walking a lot, so I'd recommend sneakers or supportive sandals. Check the weather before you go; if it’s hot, light clothing is ideal, while layers work great for cooler days. An umbrella wouldn’t hurt either, just in case!

Q: Is it easy to find parking near the meeting point for the tour?

A: Parking in Midtown Manhattan can be a real headache. I’d suggest using public transport if you can. If you must drive, look for garages nearby, but they can be pricey. Expect to pay around $30-50 for a few hours. Plan to arrive a bit early to find parking!

Thinking about gifting the NYC Walking Tour! Any thoughts?

I'm considering buying the Welcome to NYC private walking tour as a gift for my parents. They love to explore and I've heard this one covers all the iconic spots like Times Square and St. Patrick's Cathedral. Is it worth it? How long does the tour usually last? I want it to be a special experience for them!

Just did the Welcome to NYC tour last weekend and it was AMAZING! Our guide was super friendly and showed us all the hidden gems, not just the big spots. We got to stop at Saks and the Empire State Building, plus some cool photo ops! Highly recommend it for anyone visiting or gifting it to someone. It was a great way to see the city!
