This tour is for people who've never been to New York but who want to use the subway and buses like a New Yorker! We will give you the self confidence in effortlessly traveling uptown, downtown, & crosstown whether by bus or train! 4 million people do it every day, so why not you? We will help you and your companions get the most out of your limited time here and plan your agenda! We will meet you at your hotel, or at the Bryant Park Fountain at Sixth Ave and West 41st Street, demonstrate how to get around via subway, bus, taxi, or foot, and give you the official NYC Subway Map and show you how to read it! Pick a neighborhood or from the list above, and we will show you around that place, or we can design a personalized walking tour for you starting at your hotel. After our 2½ hours together, you’ll be a confident, educated NYC traveller! This is a customized tour, if the date you want isn't available, email me and I may be able to accommodate you.

Q: What's the best age for kids to join this NYC Tour?

A: I took my 10-year-old, and he loved it! I think as long as they can follow directions and stay engaged for a couple of hours, they're good to go. Ann's great at making it fun for kids, plus learning to navigate the subway is super useful. I’d say 8 and up is ideal!

Q: Is this tour customizable if I'm interested in a specific neighborhood?

A: Yes! You can totally choose a neighborhood, like SoHo or Greenwich Village, and Ann will tailor the tour around that area. It’s awesome because you can hit the places you really want to see and learn how to get around on your own.

Q: How do I reschedule if something comes up?

A: Rescheduling is pretty easy! Just shoot Ann an email, and she’ll do her best to accommodate you. She’s really flexible about dates, so don’t stress too much if your plans change.

I’m planning to gift the Welcome to New York City Tour to my sister who’s visiting next month. She’s never been on the subway before, and I think this would really help her feel comfortable navigating the city. I've heard Ann is super helpful and fun! Just had the NYC Tour with Ann, and it was amazing!

I took the Welcome to New York City Tour last week, and I can’t recommend it enough! Ann met us at Bryant Park and showed us how to use the subway like a pro. She even customized our route to include Times Square and the East Village! I feel so much more confident about getting around now. If you’re thinking of booking this as a gift, do it!
