Q&A
A: Yes, kids can absolutely join the West Maui Snorkel & Sail! The tour is generally great for children ages 6 and up. Just keep in mind that they should be comfortable in the water, and some parents recommend having them wear life vests, especially if they're not strong swimmers. Also, the crew is really good with kids and will make sure they have a fun time!
A: If the weather doesn't cooperate, Sail Maui will typically contact you to discuss your options. You can usually reschedule for a later date, or they may offer a full refund if the tour is canceled. It’s wise to check the weather a day or two in advance, just in case!
A: For snorkeling, it’s best to wear a swimsuit but also consider a rash guard or light long-sleeve shirt for sun protection. Water shoes are a great idea too, since the ocean floor can be rocky. The crew provides reef-safe sunscreen, so definitely apply that before you get in the water!

Just got back from the West Maui Snorkel & Sail—OMG!
I just did the West Maui Snorkel & Sail tour last week and it was absolutely amazing! The catamaran is super comfy, and the crew was really friendly. We saw tons of colorful fish and even swam with sea turtles! The lunch spread was perfect too—definitely try the mai tais! I’m thinking about booking this for my sister’s birthday; it’s such a fun experience!
Considering West Maui Snorkel & Sail as a gift—thoughts?
I’m looking at getting the West Maui Snorkel & Sail for my parents' 30th anniversary. They love the ocean but have never snorkeled before. Anyone think it’s a good idea? How’s the crew with first-timers? I just want them to have a great time!
