Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the West Rim Tour?

A: There isn’t a strict age limit, but kids should be able to sit securely in the vehicle. I've seen younger kids, maybe around 6 and up, enjoy it with the right safety gear. Just check with the tour company to make sure it’s suitable for your child’s size and comfort.

Q: What should we wear for the off-roading experience?

A: Comfortable clothes are key! Wear layers, as it can get hot in the day and cooler in the evenings. Also, definitely opt for closed-toed shoes – there’s some hiking involved, and you don’t want to worry about stubbing your toes. Sunglasses and sunscreen are a plus too!

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather is bad?

A: Absolutely! The tour guides are super accommodating when it comes to weather. They typically contact you if there’s a concern about the weather and will help you find a new date that works. Just make sure to reach out to them ahead of time!

Just booked the West Rim Tour for my partner's birthday!

I’m so excited! We’re going in September, and I can’t wait to try the off-roading. I’ve heard the guides are awesome, and I love that there are options for different thrill levels. Any tips? What should I definitely bring or what to look out for?

Anyone tried the driving option on the West Rim Tour?

I’m thinking of getting the driving experience for myself. How intense is it? I’ve never done anything like this before, but it sounds thrilling! I just want to be sure it’s manageable for a newbie like me.
