Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to go on the airboat ride?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but they recommend kids be at least 3 years old for safety reasons. The airboat can get a bit loud, so it’s good to bring ear protection for younger kids. If your child has a fear of loud noises, maybe wait until they’re a bit older.

Q: What if it rains on the day of our tour? Do they cancel?

A: They generally don’t cancel for rain unless it’s severe weather. They provide rain ponchos, and the nature walk can still be enjoyable. Just be aware that trails might be muddy, so wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet.

Q: How long is the whole experience? Planning for parking and stuff.

A: The whole tour usually takes about 4-5 hours. You’ll want to arrive at least 30 minutes early for parking and check-in. There’s plenty of space at the parking area, but it can fill up on weekends. I’d recommend arriving early to secure a good spot!

Just got back from the Western Everglades Adventure Tour - amazing!

Oh man, we had such a blast on this tour! The nature walk was so cool, we saw tons of butterflies and a couple of alligators. The biologist guide was super knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun for my family. The airboat ride was the highlight, though—so much fun! Just a heads up, we went in early October and the trails were pretty flooded, so we definitely got wet but it was worth it! Highly recommend for families!

Thinking about gifting the Everglades tour to my parents

Hey everyone! I'm considering getting the Western Everglades Adventure Tour for my parents for their anniversary. They love nature but aren't super adventurous. Is this tour suitable for them? Also, how's the airboat ride? Any tips for making it special?
