Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Whale Watch and Turtles Snorkel tour?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but they recommend kids be at least 3 years old for safety reasons. It’s super fun for families, and the crew is great with kids! Be sure to bring floaties or life jackets if you think your child might need them. They provide snorkel gear, but feel free to bring your own if your kids have preferences.

Q: What should I wear for the snorkeling part? Any tips?

A: Definitely wear a swimsuit and bring a rash guard if you burn easily. The water can get chilly when you first jump in, but you’ll warm up quickly. Flip flops or water shoes are great for the boat, and don’t forget a hat and sunscreen. They have showers on board, so you can rinse off after snorkeling!

Q: What’s the parking situation like at the harbor?

A: There’s a parking lot just a short walk from the boat. It can get busy, especially during peak tourist seasons, so arriving 30 minutes early is a good idea. Parking is usually around $20 for the day. If you have a group, carpooling can save some bucks!

Just booked the Whale Watch and Turtles Snorkel tour—super excited!

I just booked the Whale Watch and Turtles Snorkel tour with Pride of Maui for next month. I can’t wait to see the whales and turtles! It’s my first time snorkeling, so I’m a bit nervous but excited. The BBQ lunch sounds awesome too—burgers and hot dogs? Yes, please! Anyone have tips for first-timers?

Just got back from the Whale Watch and Turtles Snorkel—must-do in Maui!

OMG, just got back from the Whale Watch and Turtles Snorkel tour, and it was AMAZING! The boat was so big and not crowded at all. We saw a bunch of whales and even swam with sea turtles! The hot dogs at lunch were surprisingly good, too. Highly recommend this if you’re planning a trip to Maui. Worth every penny!
