Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this whale watching kayak experience?

A: There's no strict age limit for the kayak experience, but they do recommend kids be at least 8 years old and able to paddle with a guide. It's a pretty chill activity, so as long as they can handle being in the kayak and follow instructions, they should be fine! Just keep in mind that younger kids may need more help from the guides.

Q: How's the parking situation near the launch site in Maui?

A: Parking can be a bit tricky, but there are usually spots available near the launch site. Just get there a little early to find a space. It's not super crowded, but you don't want to be rushing. Also, keep an eye out for any parking fees; some areas do charge.

Q: What should I wear for this kayaking experience?

A: Definitely wear a swimsuit or quick-dry clothing since you might get splashed! The rash guard they provide is great for sun protection, but you can also bring your own if you prefer. Don't forget a hat and sunglasses! Water shoes or sandals are a good idea too, especially for getting in and out of the kayak.

Thinking of gifting the whale watch kayak experience!

I'm planning to gift my partner this kayak whale watching tour in Maui. We've never done anything like this, so I’m curious if anyone's had an amazing experience on it? The idea of getting up close with whales sounds surreal. What should we expect, and any tips for first-timers?

Experience of a lifetime kayaking with whales!

Wow, I just got back from the whale kayaking tour and it was unreal! We saw a mama whale and her calf up close! The guides were so friendly, and the snacks were delicious. The lack of engine noise made it feel so peaceful. Highly recommend this as a gift or just for yourself!
