Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this whale watch tour in Kailua-Kona?

A: There's no specific age limit for the whale watch excursion! It’s perfect for families, but they do recommend that kids be at least 3 years old to fully enjoy the experience. The boat is pretty sturdy, so it’s safe for all ages. Just keep in mind, kids should probably be able to sit still for a couple of hours.

Q: What should I wear for the whale watching trip?

A: Dress in layers! It can get a bit windy out on the water. A light jacket is a good idea, especially in the morning. Also, don't forget sunscreen and a hat! Comfortable shoes are a must because you'll be on a boat. Flip-flops or sandals usually work well.

Q: What happens if we don't see any whales? Can we reschedule?

A: No worries! If you don’t see any whales, you can come back for free. Just make sure to contact them to reschedule your trip, and they’ll help you find another date. They’re pretty flexible with it. Just keep in mind, the whale season is from December to April, so plan accordingly!

Just booked the whale watch tour from Kailua-Kona!

I’m so pumped! I just got my tickets for the whale watch excursion with Body Glove Cruises. Can’t wait to see whales up close! It’s going to be in late February, so I hope we see a lot of them. I’ve heard they’re great about explaining everything with the naturalists on board. Plus, snacks are included? YES! Anyone else done this? Any tips?

Thinking of gifting the whale watch experience, is it worth it?

I’m considering this whale watch excursion for my wife’s birthday. We’re going to be in Hawaii from January to March, and she’s always wanted to see whales. I saw it’s $0.00?! Is that for real, or am I missing something? What’s the actual cost? Any feedback on the experience would be awesome!
