Q&A
A: There isn't a strict weight limit, but the boats do have capacity restrictions. That said, they can accommodate a good number of people without any issue. If you have concerns about comfort or mobility, I recommend calling Lost Isle Adventures directly before booking. They're super helpful!
A: The best time is usually from December to April for gray whales and then from May to November for humpback whales. I went in late October, and we saw tons of humpbacks! Just check their site for the latest sightings, too.
A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly out on the water even if it’s warm on land. Bring a light jacket and maybe a hat. They provide blankets, which is nice, but I’d recommend wearing comfortable shoes since the boat can move a bit.

Just booked a whale watching trip in Morro Bay! Any tips?
I just bought a gift voucher for a whale watching tour with Lost Isle Adventures for my sister's birthday! It’s a 3-hour trip, and I heard we might see humpback whales. Anyone done this before? What was your experience like? I want to make sure she has the best time!
Anyone seen whales on the Morro Bay tours recently?
I’m thinking about taking my kids on the whale watching adventure in Morro Bay next month. How's the experience? I want to ensure they’ll see some whales. Are there good chances this time of year? Any tips for making it a hit for them?
