The ONLY Whale Watching tour with hotel pickup in Seattle! Most whale sightings in the Puget Sound happen near the San Juan Islands - make the most of your day and explore Deception Pass before your Whale-watching cruise! Journey north of Seattle to Deception Pass State Park, a Pacific Northwest hidden gem with views that rival our National Parks! Explore the old growth forest among the jagged cliffs and secret coastlines before enjoying a seasonal catered picnic lunch. After lunch, we'll drive up to Anacortes and join our partners, Outer Island Excursions, on a 3-hour Wildlife and Whale Watching boat tour. The Outer Island Excursions Captain and Naturalist will share information about the Salish Sea while we cruise around the channels in search of whales and other wildlife. Our all-inclusive small-group day trip is limited to 10 travelers. We also bring assorted snacks, water, and other cold beverages for the day. Don’t worry about a thing.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the whale watching tour? Can kids go?

A: Yes, kids can definitely join the whale watching tour! There’s no strict age limit, but I’d say it’s best for children 5 and older. The small group size (only 10 people) makes it family-friendly, and the naturalists are great with kids, so they’ll have a blast!

Q: What should I wear for the whale watching part? Thinking about the weather.

A: Definitely dress in layers! Even in summer, it can get windy and chilly on the boat. I recommend a waterproof jacket, comfy shoes, and maybe a hat. Trust me, you want to be prepared for both sun and chill!

Q: How does the hotel pickup work? Is it reliable?

A: The hotel pickup is super reliable! They give you a time and are usually right on time. Just be sure to confirm your pickup location the night before. It makes everything so easy since you don’t have to worry about parking or navigating.

Just did the whale watching tour and it was amazing!

I just got back from the Whale Watching + Deception Pass Tour out of Seattle and it was such a fantastic experience! The views at Deception Pass State Park are incredible, like something right out of a postcard. We saw a bunch of orcas during the whale watching part, and the naturalist was super knowledgeable. Plus, the picnic lunch was delicious! I highly recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves nature.

Looking for gift ideas? How about the Whale Watching tour!

I'm thinking of gifting the Whale Watching + Deception Pass Tour to my sister for her birthday. She loves the outdoors but has never been whale watching. The whole package seems perfect with the hotel pickup and picnic lunch. Has anyone done this recently? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
