Q&A
A: There’s no specific age limit, but it’s generally recommended for kids 5 and up because of the duration and potential for rough seas. If your child loves nature and is okay with being on a boat for about 3-4 hours, they'll likely have a blast! Just make sure they wear something warm, since it can get chilly out there.
A: Cancellations do happen, especially during stormy weather or high winds. However, they usually notify you a few hours in advance. If you’re flexible with dates, I suggest booking when the weather looks clear, and just keep an eye on forecasts leading up to your trip!
A: Dress in layers! It can be warm when you're docked but chilly once you head out. A windbreaker or waterproof jacket is a must. Also, non-slip shoes help a ton! Just be ready for cooler temps out on the water, since it can get breezy.

Just did the whale watching trip yesterday - wow!
I finally went on the whale watching trip with 7 Seas Whale Watch in Gloucester. We saw a humpback whale and tons of seals! The guide was super knowledgeable and made the trip so much fun. Plus, the boat wasn't overly crowded, which was nice. I’d definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a unique gift or just an amazing day out. Bring snacks and a camera!
Thinking of gifting this experience - any pros or cons?
I’m considering gifting the whale watching trip to my parents for their anniversary. They love nature but don’t go on many boat trips. I’m wondering if anyone has insights on how comfortable it is or if it’s a good choice for older folks? Any advice would be appreciated!
