Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit for the tour, but it's definitely more suitable for teens and adults since some historical concepts and the walking pace might be challenging for younger kids. If you have younger ones, just be ready to explain some of the history along the way!
A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes because you'll be walking quite a bit! Also, check the weather before you go—layers are a good idea for unpredictable NYC temps. If you're going in the summer, don't forget sunscreen!
A: If it's raining, the tour typically goes on as planned unless there's severe weather. Bring an umbrella or a raincoat just in case! It's still super interesting, and Lower Manhattan has lots of covered spots.

Just did the Where America Began tour in NYC!
Hey everyone! I just finished the Where America Began tour in Lower Manhattan, and it was incredible. Standing where George Washington took the oath of office gave me chills. Richard, our guide, was super knowledgeable and shared so many cool stories about Hamilton and early America. The tour is about 2 hours long and was full of walking, so wear comfy shoes! Highly recommend this for anyone who loves history!
Thinking of gifting the Where America Began tour!
I’m considering giving this walking tour as a gift for my dad’s birthday. He loves American history! I just wanna make sure it’s engaging enough for him. Has anyone here done it? What was your favorite part?
