Whitewater river rafting and wine tasting - why wouldn't we? We have combined 2 of our favorite things - whitewater and wine tasting! We start with a 1/2 day of amazing whitewater on the Wenatchee River - the best river rafting in the state! Next is a wine-prep time at our basecamp on the banks of the river, followed by some camp set-up time (or nap time). Then, it's off to the wineries! We are your guide to the best 3 wineries in the Wenatchee area! This guided winery excursion includes a guide/driver that is your personal assistant to the best wine in the valley. After the wineries, we arrive back at basecamp for dinner, camping for the night, and enjoying your favorite red or white wine relaxing around a campfire.

Q: What should we wear for the rafting part? Is there a dress code for the wineries?

A: For the rafting, I recommend wearing a swimsuit or quick-dry clothes, plus water shoes or sandals with straps. The wineries are a bit more relaxed, so you can wear casual clothes, but I’d suggest bringing a light jacket for the evening if it gets chilly. Bring a change of clothes for after the rafting since you'll get wet!

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, they have a flexible rescheduling policy! If the weather looks unsafe for rafting, they’ll work with you to find a new date. Just reach out to the provider as soon as you know you need to change plans.

Q: Is this good for beginners? We’ve never been rafting before.

A: Absolutely! The Wenatchee River offers different sections, and the guides are super friendly and helpful. They’ll give you all the instructions you need and keep a close eye on everyone. A bit of a thrill, but nothing too crazy for beginners!

I’m looking at the Whitewater and Wine experience on the Wenatchee River, and it sounds amazing! It’s a half-day rafting trip followed by a wine tour. I think my parents would love the combo of adventure and relaxation. Has anyone done this? What's the dinner like? Is it just camping stuff or something nice?

Just got back from the Whitewater and Wine trip, and wow, what an awesome day! The rafting was thrilling but manageable, even for a couple of scaredy-cats like us. The wineries were beautiful, and we had so much fun tasting different wines. The campfire dinner really topped it off. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a unique adventure!
