Q&A
A: There are no strict age limits for this tour. It's family-friendly and great for kids, but keep in mind that younger kids may not have the attention span for all the stories. Strollers can be a pain on the bus, so consider a carrier for little ones. Overall, it’s a fun adventure for all ages!
A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly even in summer, especially along the coast. Waterproof jackets are a must if there's rain in the forecast. Comfortable shoes are also important since you’ll be walking around the Wildlife Conservation Center. Just keep an eye on the weather before you go!
A: Yes, there’s parking available in Whittier, but it can fill up quickly during the summer months. It’s best to arrive early to secure a spot. There’s a small fee for parking, so just keep that in mind when budgeting for your trip.

Just did the Whittier to Anchorage tour - amazing experience!
I just came back from the Wildlife Extravaganza tour and wow, it was everything I hoped for! Our driver was super knowledgeable about the area and the stories he shared really added to the experience. The scenery along the Seward Highway was stunning and the stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center was definitely a highlight. We saw bears and moose up close! I’m thinking of gifting this to my parents next time they visit. Highly recommend it!
Considering gifting the Wildlife Extravaganza for my brother - thoughts?
My brother’s going on a cruise to Alaska in a couple of weeks, and I’m thinking about getting him this tour when he gets off the ship in Whittier. Is it worth it? What’s the wildlife like? I know he’d love the chance to see bears and moose but just want to make sure it’s not too rushed.
