Q&A
A: Yes, the tour is generally suitable for ages 6 and up. Kids under 12 should be accompanied by an adult. Just make sure everyone is comfortable in a kayak! If you have younger kids or non-swimmers, check with the provider for any specific requirements or adjustments.
A: Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting wet! Quick-dry shorts and a light t-shirt work great. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat if it's sunny. Water shoes are also a good idea since you might be getting in and out of the kayak. Also, bring a change of clothes just in case!
A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they’ll usually reschedule you for another day. It's best to call them a day before to get updates on conditions. They care about safety, so if it’s too windy or there’s lightning, they will likely cancel the tour. Just keep an eye on the forecast!

Just got back from the Loxahatchee River Tour, and wow!
I took the Wild & Scenic Loxahatchee River guided tour last weekend, and it was amazing! The cypress trees and wildlife were just stunning. Our guide was super knowledgeable and really made the experience fun. I went with my brother, and we both loved paddling through the swamp—definitely had some arm workouts! 😂 The only downside was the portage at one point, but it wasn’t too bad. Highly recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves nature! 🌲🐦
Thinking about gifting the Loxahatchee River tour, but have concerns!
I’m looking to surprise my parents with this kayaking experience. They’ve never kayaked before, and I’m a little worried about them handling it. Is it beginner-friendly? Any tips for making it smooth for them? They’re both in decent shape but a little nervous about the water.
