Q&A
A: You don’t need to be a pro! Ben gears the instruction toward all skill levels, so whether you’re a total newbie or have some experience, you’ll get a lot out of it. Just bring a camera (even your phone works) and an eagerness to learn. The key is to have fun and soak it all in while you're spotting wildlife!
A: Summer weather in Sitka can be unpredictable! It's usually mild, but it's a good idea to dress in layers and bring a waterproof jacket, just in case. You might get lucky with sunshine, but better safe than sorry! Also, wearing comfortable shoes is a must since you'll be moving around a bit on the boat.
A: Yes, parking is pretty accessible around the harbor area where the boat departs. There are public lots, but they can fill up during peak times. It's a good idea to arrive early, maybe 15-20 minutes before the start, so you can grab a good spot without stress.

Just booked the Wildlife Photography Workshop in Sitka!
I’m so pumped! I just booked the 3-hour Wildlife Photography Workshop with Ben Hamilton. He’s supposed to be awesome! I’ve always loved wildlife photography but need some tips on improving my shots. Plus, seeing wildlife up close in Sitka sounds magical. Anyone here done it? What tips do you have?
Anyone else love this workshop? Here’s my experience!
I did the Wildlife Photography Workshop last month with Ben, and it was phenomenal! We saw sea otters and eagles, and Ben taught us how to capture the best light. The snacks on the boat were a nice touch too! Can't recommend it enough if you love nature and photography. Seriously, it was worth every penny!
