Unparalleled access to remote Alaska! Cruise through passages that are home to an abundant wildlife aboard an Alaskan-built, high-speed expedition vessel with comfortable seating, wrap around windows and heated cabin. Experience true Alaska–explore old-growth rainforest, discover life in the intertidal zone, learn traditional Native harvesting techniques, and enjoy an Alaska-style beach campfire. Take a leisurely break from cruising to step ashore on remote Annette Island, welcomed by a greeting from your Tsimshian Alaska Native hosts: “La Gwelga Lak!” (The Fire Has Been Lit!). Indulge your adventurer’s appetite with a scrumptious feast that includes Alaskan hotdogs, chips, seasonal jams, and other local delights, while sipping on an Alaskan Beer, or your choice of wine, soda or juice. Finish your meal with an American classic: roasting marshmallows for S’mores. Return to the vessel and set sail back to Ketchikan.

Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the Wildlife Safari and Beach Campfire experience? Is it cold out on the water?

A: I'd recommend dressing in layers! It can get chilly on the water, especially if the wind picks up. A good waterproof jacket and some warm clothes underneath are ideal. Don't forget comfy shoes for walking around on Annette Island too! Bring a hat and sunglasses to protect from the sun.

Q: Are there any age limits for kids on this trip? Thinking of gifting it to my family.

A: This experience is great for all ages! Kids will love the beach campfire and roasting marshmallows. Just keep in mind that younger kids may need more supervision on the boat and during the hike on Annette Island. It’s a fun family adventure!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather doesn't cooperate, True Alaskan Tours is really good about rescheduling. They prioritize safety! So if it's too rough out there, they'll work with you to find a new date. Just make sure to check their policy when you book.

Just did the Wildlife Safari and Beach Campfire — what a blast!

I recently went on the Wildlife Safari and Beach Campfire tour with True Alaskan Tours, and it was unforgettable! The views from the high-speed vessel were breathtaking, and we saw so much wildlife, including seals and eagles. The beach campfire was super cozy, especially while roasting s'mores. I highly recommend this as a gift for anyone who loves the outdoors and wants to experience Alaska in a unique way!

Considering this experience for my parents — any tips?

Hey everyone, I'm thinking of gifting the Wildlife Safari and Beach Campfire tour to my parents. They love nature, but they are in their 60s. Is this experience easy enough for them? Also, what do you recommend they bring?
