Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but kids should be at least 8 years old to really enjoy the experience! It's a good idea to make sure they can handle the cold and stay focused during the tour. Also, be prepared to bundle them up in layers since it can get pretty chilly!
A: Definitely dress in layers! A good thermal base layer, a warm mid-layer, and a waterproof outer layer are essential. Don’t forget a warm hat, gloves, and insulated boots. The weather can change fast in Yellowstone, so be prepared for anything!
A: Yes, they allow rescheduling due to weather conditions. If you can’t make it, just get in touch with Yellowstone Hiking Guides as soon as possible. They’re pretty flexible and will try to work with you to find another date!

Thinking of gifting the Winter in Yellowstone tour - any advice?
I’m planning to give the Winter in Yellowstone Wildlife Tour as a gift for my husband's birthday. He loves wildlife and has always wanted to see wolves in their natural habitat. I read it starts at 6 AM in West Yellowstone, which isn't too far from us. How cold does it usually get? Also, any tips on what snacks to pack besides what they provide?
Just got back from the Yellowstone Wildlife Tour – wow!
I just did the Winter in Yellowstone tour and it was incredible! The guides were super knowledgeable, and we saw bison and even a pack of wolves! The hot cocoa they provided while watching was a nice touch. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves nature and wildlife. Just be ready for the cold – it’s no joke! I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
