Q&A
A: Dress in layers! It's usually cold up in the Glen Alps, so start with a moisture-wicking base layer, add a warm fleece or sweater, and finish with a waterproof jacket. Don't forget warm socks and sturdy winter boots! Also, gloves and a beanie are a must.
A: The experience is designed for families with older kids, so it's best suited for ages 10 and up. The terrain can be challenging, and the guides will provide safety instructions, but younger kids may struggle with the snow.
A: Yes, you can absolutely reschedule if weather conditions aren't safe for snowshoeing. Just reach out to Go Hike Alaska directly, and they’ll work with you to find a new date. They’re pretty flexible with this stuff, which is great!

Thinking about gifting the Winter Snowshoeing Adventure!
I’m looking for a unique gift for my mom who loves nature. The Winter Snowshoeing Adventure at Glen Alps sounds amazing! I’ve read about the views and the chance to see wildlife. I’m just worried if she’ll find it too physically demanding. Any thoughts?
Just got back from my snowshoeing experience!
OMG, the Winter Snowshoeing Adventure was incredible! We got to see moose tracks and the views from Glen Alps are absolutely breathtaking. Our guide was super knowledgeable about the area too. I even got a cool granola bar snack from Elevated Oats. Highly recommend it!
