Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for participants doing the candle making experience?

A: There's no strict age limit, but it's recommended for ages 12 and up. Younger kids can join but may need adult supervision, especially with the hot wax. Just make sure they're ready to focus a bit, as it involves some careful steps!

Q: What should I wear to the candle making experience? Can't imagine wax stains are easy to get out!

A: Definitely wear something you don't mind getting a bit messy! An apron would be a great idea. They provide everything else, so just focus on enjoying yourself. Also, closed-toe shoes are a must since you'll be around hot materials.

Q: Can I reschedule if something comes up after I book the experience?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! Just make sure to contact them ahead of time. They’re usually pretty flexible, especially if you reach out a few days beforehand. Just keep in mind that they might have limited availability, so it’s good to check as soon as you can.

Just did the Wooden Dough Bowl Candle Making Experience!

I went to the Black Magnolia Shop in the Pocono Mountains last weekend, and it was such a blast! We got to customize our wooden dough bowls with all kinds of scents and toppings. The instructors were super helpful and made it really fun. I ended up making a lavender-scented candle that looks great on my coffee table! It was around $60, but totally worth it for a fun day out. Anyone else tried this yet?

Considering the candle making experience as a gift!

I'm thinking about getting this wooden dough bowl candle making experience for my sister’s birthday. She loves crafting! Is it as fun as it sounds? I want her to have a great time and the candles look so pretty. Any tips or recommendations?
