Q&A
A: The best time to do the tour is during the spring or fall when the weather is mild and the crowds are smaller. Summer can be super hot and packed with tourists. Plus, the views are stunning year-round, especially at the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, so you won't miss out no matter when you go!
A: No need to book in advance! Once you purchase the audio tour, you get lifetime access, so you can use it whenever you want. Just make sure to check the opening hours of the sites you want to visit like the Wright Brothers Memorial before you go.
A: It's a great tour for kids! The storytelling is engaging and there are plenty of stops where they can run around, like Corolla Beach. Just be mindful of their attention spans; you can pause the audio and take breaks as needed.

Thinking of gifting the Wright Brothers audio tour!
I'm considering gifting the Wright Brothers Carolina Dunes Self-Guided Driving Audio Tour for my parents' anniversary. They love history and the Outer Banks. I’m curious if anyone's done this and can share their experience? How was the audio? And did it feel like they missed anything by not being in a guided group?
Just did the Wright Brothers audio tour!
I just got back from the Wright Brothers Carolina Dunes tour and wow, it was so much fun! The storytelling was captivating, and the stops were beautiful, especially Corolla Beach. We spent the whole day there, and it was worth every penny (which is nothing!). I’d highly recommend it!
