Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit for this tour, but it’s best suited for kids aged 7 and up since there’s a bit of walking involved, especially at Wupatki. The tour is pretty flexible, and the guide does a great job of keeping it engaging for younger audiences. Just make sure they’re comfortable with some light hiking!
A: October is a fantastic time for this tour! Daytime temps at Sunset Crater can be in the low 60s to mid-70s, but it can get chilly in the evening, especially with wind. I’d recommend wearing layers and bringing a light jacket just in case. Don’t forget comfy shoes for walking around!
A: Yes, you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your tour. Just contact the provider directly, and they’re super accommodating. They understand plans change, especially during travel! It’s good to check their cancellation policy beforehand just to be safe.

Thinking of gifting the Wupatki and Sunset Crater tour - any thoughts?
I’m considering this as a gift for my parents who are visiting Arizona. They love history and nature! I read that the tour includes a visit to the Museum of Northern Arizona, which sounds awesome. I’m just curious about the overall experience and if it’s really worth it. Anyone done it?
Just went on the Wupatki and Sunset Crater tour - super fun!
I just got back from this tour and wow, it was an amazing day! The guide was so knowledgeable about the history of Wupatki, and the lunch they provided was a nice surprise! Just make sure to wear good shoes; some parts of the trail can be rocky. Totally recommend it for anyone who loves a bit of adventure and history!
