Q&A
A: You'll want to dress in layers since it can get quite cold, especially when you're moving around in the snow. I'd recommend thermal underwear, a waterproof jacket, and sturdy snow boots. Also, don't forget gloves and a warm hat—your extremities get cold fast! The guide usually provides hand warmers, so that helps, too.
A: Yes, kids can participate! The tour is family-friendly, but it's really best for those 8 and up, since some of the snow activities can be a bit challenging. Make sure your kids are comfortable in cold weather and can handle some walking through the snow. It's a great way to introduce them to nature!
A: Great question! If the weather is really bad, they typically offer to reschedule your tour rather than cancel it outright. Just be sure you're flexible with your dates, as it can be popular in winter. The guides prioritize safety, so they’ll make a call based on the conditions leading up to your tour.

Just got back from the Yellowstone Winter Tour—amazing!
I just returned from the 5-day Yellowstone & Grand Teton Winter Tour, and it was absolutely incredible! Our guide was super knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. We saw elk and bison up close during the sleigh ride, and snowshoeing to Old Faithful was unforgettable. The hot springs felt amazing after a long day outside! Highly recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves the outdoors.
Considering this as a gift for my partner—thoughts?
I'm thinking about getting the Yellowstone & Grand Teton Winter Tour for my partner's birthday. He loves nature and photography. Is 5 days too long? Also, how's the food? I'm a little worried about him being cold, but he has gear. Would love to hear anyone else's opinion!
