We have Jackson's only "See Wildlife or Your Tour is Free" refund policy. Hiking is a fantastic way to observe wildlife as well as take in Yellowstone’s unique geyser basins and volcanic landscape. Your day will begin by passing through Grand Teton National Park, taking time to stop and observe wildlife and scenery along the way. Once in Yellowstone we will making stops at Old Faithful geyser, Yellowstone Lake, the Lower Falls of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and the Hayden Valley depending on the route to your chosen trailhead. Yellowstone National Park’s rich history, geology, wildfires and wildlife will be discussed in detail throughout the tour. The hike will offer an opportunity to get off the Park's crowded loop road and get a feel for being in a wild place (with a guide who carries bear spray) We also offer many stops throughout the tour for guests to get out of the vehicle and observe the wildlife with the binoculars and scope that we provide.

Q&A

Q: What's the maximum group size for the guided hike? I’m thinking of taking my family.

A: The maximum group size is typically around 6-8 people, which keeps it intimate and personal. You’ll get plenty of attention from the guide and have the chance to ask questions and really soak in the experience. If you have a larger group, they might be able to accommodate you, but it’s best to check directly with GoJH.

Q: What if the weather doesn’t cooperate? Can we reschedule?

A: Yes! GoJH has a pretty flexible rescheduling policy. If the weather looks bad, they’ll work with you to find a better day. Just make sure to call them ahead of time to discuss options. They really want you to have the best experience possible!

Q: Is there an age limit for kids? I’d love to take my 10-year-old.

A: Kids of all ages can join, but younger ones should be prepared for a good hike. The guides are great with families and can adjust the pace. Just make sure your child is comfortable hiking for several hours and can handle the terrain. It’ll be a memorable experience!

Thinking of gifting the Yellowstone guided hike – any experiences?

I’m looking to surprise my partner with the Yellowstone National Park private guided hike. The whole wildlife guarantee sounds awesome! I read it includes a picnic lunch – what’s on the menu? I just want to make sure it’s a hit since he loves hiking and nature. Any tips would be appreciated!

Just finished the hike – what an adventure!

I just got back from the Yellowstone guided hike with GoJH and wow, I’m still buzzing! We saw so much wildlife—bears, bison, and even a moose! The guide was super knowledgeable and made the history of the park come alive. The lunch was tasty too! Seriously considering doing this again.
