Our Classic Camping/Hiking Adventure is a traditional way of visiting Yosemite without the “roughing-it” experience of backpacking. We will shuttle daily from our campsite, with daypacks and lunch in hand, to our selected hiking destinations. As the #1 guide service in Yosemite, our tours highlight a variety of iconic and popular features throughout the park, as well as some lesser known gems. We will hike to the top of giant waterfalls, along glacially polished granite, through alpine meadows full of wildflowers, and past giant sequoia trees. We will stand atop granite domes and reach the top of a major summit. Along the way, your professional and knowledgeable guide will share the history of Yosemite as well as information about the geology, natural history, plants, and animals. As the calendar is confusing, our 2026 dates are: 5/15-5/19 6/8-6/12 7/6-7/10 8/3-8/7 8/21-8/25 9/11-9/15 9/27-10/1 10/12-10/16

Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for the Classic Camping Trips in Yosemite?

A: There aren't strict age limits, but it's best suited for ages 10 and up. Kids younger than that might find the hikes challenging, especially the steeper trails to waterfalls. Always good to check with the guides if you have specific age considerations!

Q: What should I wear for the Yosemite hiking days?

A: Definitely wear layers! Mornings can be chilly, but it warms up during the day. Good hiking boots are a must, and I'd recommend moisture-wicking clothes. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen too, especially if you're hiking up those granite domes!

Q: Can I reschedule my camping trip if something comes up?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! Just make sure to do it at least 30 days before your trip date. They’re pretty flexible, but last-minute changes could be tough.

Thinking about gifting the Classic Camping Trip, any tips?

Hey everyone! I'm considering gifting the Yosemite Classic Camping Trip to my parents for their anniversary. They love nature but aren’t super hardcore hikers. Do you think this is a good fit for them? Also, can anyone share their experience with the guides? I'd love to hear more about what’s included since it seems like a lot!

Just came back from the Yosemite camping trip!

Wow, I just got back from the Classic Camping Trip and I’m still in awe. The hikes to the waterfalls were stunning! We even saw some wildlife – a bear from a distance! Super fun and educational, plus the food was better than I expected. Highly recommend if you want a cool outdoor experience without roughing it too much!
