Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for the Jeep tour? Can kids join?

A: Kids can definitely join the Jeep tour, but I’d recommend checking with the tour provider for any specific age requirements before booking. Generally, they’re very accommodating, but it's good to confirm. My 10-year-old had a blast on the tour! Just make sure they’re comfortable in a bumpy ride.

Q: What should I wear for this tour? Is it cold in the mountains?

A: Definitely dress in layers! Even if it’s warm in Idaho Springs, it can get chilly in the mountains during sunset. I wore a tank top, a light jacket, and brought a beanie just in case. Comfortable closed-toe shoes are a must since you'll be on rocky terrain! Also, don’t forget sunglasses for the drive.

Q: How's the parking situation at the Jeep tour location?

A: Parking is actually pretty easy! There’s a designated lot for Native Jeeps right near the tour office in Idaho Springs. It’s free, but gets busier on weekends, so arriving a bit early is a good idea. Just follow the signs when you’re close, and you’ll find it without any trouble.

Just did the Jeep tour in Idaho Springs! Amazing views!

I recently took the 'YOU Drive the Jeep!' tour in Idaho Springs, and it was unbelievable! The sunset views over the Rockies while driving the Jeep were absolutely stunning. There were a couple of us in our group who had never driven off-road before, and our guide was super chill and helpful. Highly recommend this as a gift for anyone who loves adventure or just wants some epic Instagram shots! I think it was around $100 per person, but it’s totally worth it.

Thinking of gifting the Jeep tour – any advice?

So I’m thinking of getting the Jeep tour for my boyfriend’s birthday! He loves the outdoors but has never done anything like this. I saw the price is $0, which I assume is just a placeholder? What’s included? Any advice on how to make it more special?
