Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Famous Narrows Tour? I'm thinking about taking my 12-year-old.

A: Great question! There isn’t a strict age limit, but kids need to be comfortable hiking in water and managing the current. A 12-year-old should do fine, especially with supervision. Just make sure they wear proper shoes and are ready to get wet! It's a fun bonding experience for families.

Q: What should we wear for the Narrows hike? Is it cold in October?

A: In October, the weather can be chilly, especially in the morning. Wear quick-drying clothes, a good pair of water shoes, and definitely rent bibs from Zion Outfitter if you don't have your own. Layers are key. Also, don't forget a waterproof bag for your things!

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: Absolutely, you can reschedule if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Just be sure to contact the provider ahead of time. They’re pretty flexible when it comes to safety concerns. It’s always better to be safe than to hike in questionable conditions!

Just did the Famous Narrows Tour and wow!

I recently took the Famous Narrows Tour in Zion National Park, and it was insane! The views are just breathtaking, and hiking through the Virgin River was such a unique experience. I’d suggest going in late summer for warmer water, but you definitely need to rent those bibs if you go in cooler months. It’s about a 5-6 hour hike but felt just right. Highly recommended for anyone looking for adventure!

Planning a trip for my husband’s birthday - any tips?

I’m considering the Famous Narrows Tour as a birthday gift for my husband. He loves the outdoors, but I’m a little nervous about the water part. Is it really waist-deep at times? What if he’s not a strong swimmer? Any advice would be helpful!
