Q&A
A: ZooTampa welcomes guests of all ages! Children aged 2 and under get in for free, which is a great deal if you're bringing little ones. There aren’t really any strict age restrictions, but keep in mind that some rides and splash areas may have height requirements for safety.
A: Yes, ZooTampa is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Other than that, it's open year-round! Perfect for planning a visit over the holidays. Just double-check their website for any special events which might affect hours.
A: I recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes because you'll be walking a lot! It can get hot, so breathable fabrics are best. Don't forget sunscreen and maybe a hat. If you plan to hit the splash areas, bring an extra change of clothes or a swimsuit.

Thinking of gifting ZooTampa tickets for my niece's birthday!
Hey everyone! My niece is turning 7 soon and I’m considering getting her ZooTampa admission tickets. I’ve heard the new Florida Waters area is going to be amazing when it opens in Spring 2026! Anyone been recently? Is it worth it for her age? Also, how's the parking situation there? Thanks!
Just got back from ZooTampa, and it was fantastic!
OMG, I just spent the day at ZooTampa and had an absolute blast! The animal encounters are so cool, especially the otters. They’ve got splash areas for kids which are a lifesaver in this Florida heat! Definitely recommend for family outings or as gifts. We saw the manatees at the critical care center too; such a great mission they have.
